STAFFORD PREMIER INVITATIONAL 2025
The Stafford Premier Invitational (SPI) is a high-level, invitation-only squash competition that brings together elite players and key stakeholders from across South-East Queensland. The tournament will take place at the Stafford Squash Centre over a six-week period, comprising five regular rounds and a championship final.
The league has been established to showcase top-tier squash, foster player engagement, and lay the groundwork for future expansion to additional venues.
The competition will commence on Wednesday, 23 April 2025, at 8:00 PM.
The Grand Final will be held on Wednesday, 4 June 2025, following a one-week postponement to avoid clashing with the Brisbane State of Origin match on Wednesday, 28 May 2025.

LEAGUE STRUCTURE
- Teams: 6 teams, each consisting of 3 players
- Rounds: 5 regular rounds with a final round to determine the first, second and third places.
- Referees: Dedicated referees provided, ensuring high-quality officiating (subject to confirmation and availability).
ENTRANTS
- Maximum number of registered competitors to the tournament is 18.
- Entrants must be registered with Squash Australia, Squash Queensland or an affiliated body.
- To qualify, players must have a minimum Squash Level ranking of 4,500.
- Players will be allocated to a team based upon their Squash Level ranking.
- A weekly appearance fee of $50 will be awarded to the line 1 players of each team.
- Entrants must be willing for their photos, videos or other material submitted as part of their entry to be published, including later publication by the Promoter for the purposes of promotion.
SCORING
- Each game is ‘Point a rally’ scoring to 11, which is PAR 11. If the score in a game is tied at 10-10, a player must win by 2 clear points.
- Matches are the best of 5 games.
- Players are awarded 1 point for every game won.
- 1 bonus point is awarded to the team with the highest point score.

REVENUE
- Entrance Fee: This offers excellent value, guaranteeing each participant a minimum of five matches.
- Early Bird: A $50 per person once off entrance fee will be charged for Early Bird registration. This offers excellent value, guaranteeing each participant a minimum of five matches. This offer expires on the 6 April 2025.
- Standard Registration: A $75 per person once off entrance fee will be charged for Standard registration. This offer begins on the 1 April 2025 and expires on the closure of the draw on the 13 April 2025.
- Team Sponsorship: Each team will be assigned a sponsor to help cover competition expenses. Teams will carry the sponsor’s name and be highlighted in social media posts aimed at engaging supporters and showcasing their results.

- Invitation-Only Participation: Players are selected based on Squash Levels ranking, ensuring a high-quality competition.

- Teams Structure: determined using Snake Ladder format i.e:

- Venue: All matches will be held at Stafford Squash Centre, 244 Kitchener Rd. Stafford 4053.
PRIZE POOL
Based on the overall rankings at the end of the 5 week round, the top 4 teams will play off for the prize pool. The final event will occur on the 4th June 2025.

TERMS OF ENTRY
- The Organisers decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into for any decisions relating to the tournament.
- If fewer than 18 players register, the tournament will be canceled. All registered players will receive a full refund in the event of cancellation.

SPORTS INTEGRITY – CODE OF CONDUCT
Examples of Misconduct include, but are not limited to:
A. Violation of policies, rules, or regulations:
B. Conduct that endangers and/or disregards the welfare, health or safety of the players, staff and officials and includes:
- Verbal abuse or action that produces mental or physical discomfort, embarrassment, or ridicule;
- Threats of harm or injury, either stated or implied;
- Acts of sexual harassment or misconduct. Sexual harassment is unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature. Sexual violence is a form of sexual harassment and is prohibited by federal law, state law and this Code of Conduct.
- Acts of assault, harassment, physical abuse or stalking;
- Conduct that is disruptive, lewd or indecent or aiding and abetting others in such conduct;
- Any other conduct that threatens or endangers the health or safety of any person.
C. Violation of policies, rules, or regulations:Other conduct that interferes with the orderly business of the Stafford Squash Centre or Stafford Squash Club.
SANCTIONS for Code Violations
- Registered players of the Stafford Premier Invitational Tournament who violate this Code may be subject to one or more sanctions which include but are not limited to:
- WARNING – a verbal warning to the player who is violating or has violated regulations;
- LOSS OF MATCH POINTS – loss of game points if the has continued to violate the regulations after the verbal warning.
- FORFEIT OF MATCH – the match will be forfeited in the event that the player has significantly violated the regulations after a verbal warning.
